Platform

The platform is designed to be a single, reliable source for everything related to internal sustainability data. It is focused on energy efficiency, innovation, and compliance with sustainability requirements.

Data Collection

Data is collected through structured templates, financial system exports, and digital tools used across the organisation. Each entity provides data based on predefined categories aligned with Scope classifications.

Data Validation

Data is validated through a structured process including validation, cleaning, mapping, and consolidation. Automated rules are applied to ensure consistency across datasets and prevent duplication of emissions between entities.

Data Security

Data is stored in controlled environments with defined access permissions. Only relevant personnel have access to company specific datasets ensuring confidentiality and integrity of information.

Calculation Methodologies - Page 17

Three different quantification metholodigies exist:

Spend Based:

Activity Based:

Hybrid Approach:

All three methodologies are applied within the inventory, and choice depends on data availability, relevance to source, and impact on overall inventory.

• For Scope 1,

• For Scope 2,

• Scope 3 Category 1 Purchased Goods and Services

• Scope 3 Category 2 Capital Goods

• Scope 3 Category 3 Fuel and Energy Related Activities (FERA)

• Scope 3 Category 4 Upstream Transportation

• Scope 3 Category 5 Waste

• Scope 3 Category 6 Business Travel

• Scope 3 Category 7 Employee Commuting

• Scope 3 Category 8 District Heating

• Scope 3 Category 9 Downstream Transportation

• Scope 3 Category 10 Processing of Sold Products

• Scope 3 Category 11 Indirect Emissions from Sold Products

• Scope 3 Category 12 End of Life

• Scope 3 Category 13 Downstream Leased Assets

• Scope 3 Category 14 Franchises

• Scope 3 Category 15 Pensions

• Scope 3 Category 16 Investments

Approach to use Primary vs Secondary data

Efforts have been taken to collect primary data across all categories.Where data is unavailable,secondary data sources are utilised within the inventory. Data was unavailable for below;

Financial Leases

Leases for offices and factories are primarily financial leases (where billing for utilities is incorporated into monthly rent). Secondary data via average calculations utilised in these instances for energy, waste, and water, per m2 and type of occupied facility.

Upstream Transportation

Data on emissions from deliveries of purchased goods was not available across the group’s procurement. For this reason a statis 10% of cost of purchase was applied to estimate the impact

Where scenarios were developed (for downstream transporation of products and use case of products), these estimates were based on gathered evidence and we shown to be more accurate than spend based estimates or exclusions.

This is classed as secondary data however is more accurate and therefore product based scenarios should be defaulted to in absence of metered data.

Reporting Outputs

The platform produces reporting outputs in a variety of formats, including spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards. The outputs are designed to be easy to understand and use, and are formatted in a way that is easy to report.
